Brisbane’s events calendar is set to provide plenty of exciting events for locals and tourists to enjoy this September, with continued COVID-safe measures in place for your health and safety.
Here’s what’s on in Brisbane in September 2020.
Brisbane Festival 2020
When: Friday 4th – Saturday 26th September
This month Brisbane Festival will reach all of Brisbane’s 190 suburbs. The exciting line-up features a diverse range of street concerts, impressive outdoor installations, intimate performances at various venues, and an incredible new light and laser spectacular.
There’s plenty to do, with all events individually prices, and several being free of charge. So plan ahead now, get your tickets, and prepare to be amazed.
Father’s Day 2020
When: Sunday 6th September
In this vibrant, sunny city, there are hundreds of ways to show dad how special he is this Father’s Day. Eden Gardens are offering 20% off a range of plants for Father’s Day, so why not treat dad to breakfast or lunch in their pretty creekside cafe, and a plant from the nursery?
Alternatively, enjoy a meal together at a pub, restaurant, or cafe – there are plenty to choose from! For something different consider riding around the city in a vintage automobile on an Art Deco Tour, or lunch at a brewery complete with an informative tour.
Brunch With Bite
When: Sunday 6th, 13th, 20th, and 27th
Price: From $69
Brunch With Bite is continuing every Sunday in September. Enjoy a delicious Italian-inspired brunch menu with bottomless beverages and a side of fantastic entertainment in the form of a risqué drag show and themed games.
The event runs from 11 am-2 pm on Sundays, and the ticket price includes all entertainment, food, and unlimited specified beverages between 11:30 am-1:30 pm. Due to the nature of the entertainment, this event is strictly 18+.
Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers
When: Friday 18th – Sunday 27th September
Toowoomba’s iconic Carnival of Flowers is back. Prepare for a magnificent canvas of colours, spread across the parks and public spaces of Toowoomba. Enjoy over 30 events and 48 local tours, as well as parkland entertainment, foodie experiences, live music, and a Ferris wheel!
You can even bring your four-legged friend along to enjoy over 20 dog-friendly activities, off-leash areas, and dog-friendly cafes.
Whilst many events are free, others are priced, and tickets are still required as spaces are limited.
Brisbane Gin Festival
Where: Bowen Hills
When: Saturday 19th September
Price: Free entry, with drinks and more available to purchase
Gin-lovers rejoice! The Brisbane Gin festival will feature gin cocktails, signature G & T’s, and tasting sessions from top local and international gin brands. You can even bring your dog along!
The festival begins at midday and will continue late into the evening. You will need to purchase drinks tokens at the bar on the day to redeem at the stalls for cocktails, and there will be an ATM on site.
Mamma Mia Brunch and Dinner
Where: The Brunch Club
When: Sunday 27th September
Abba fans are in for a treat this month! Dine in an immersive environment whilst singing and bopping along to your favourite Abba classics at the Mamma Mia Brunch and Dinner. Fancy dress is highly encouraged, with prizes for the best costumes, so plan the perfect disco fever outfit.
Each session lasts for 90 minutes, from 11 am, 2 pm, and 5 pm. Your ticket also includes a delicious Greek meal and a glass of wine.
