Bestbrook

Camping or cabin stays just outside of Warrick – This side of the mountain. Cold in the winter but still fabulous. All the weekends and holiday programs are just fantastic. Make sure you go on the wagon ride! You get to feed the baby animals, go horse riding, learn boomerang throwing, do butter churning, have billy tea and damper and heaps more

Bunyip Springs

Deep in the South Burnett, you’ll feel a million miles away from your to-do list when you realise you’re surrounded by the granite boulders of the Bunya Mountains.

Next, you’ll hear rushing springs and then a deep, “moooooooo” (some would interpret this as “welcoooome”) from one of the resident cows. You’ve officially arrived at Bunyip Springs Farmstay.

Animals to meet and feed: Cows, horses, chickens, ducks and alpacas.

Things to do: Explore the paddocks near the cottages to meet and feed the farm animals and collect hen eggs, giddy-up on a led horse ride around the property, milk the cows, go bush walking, spot wildlife and bird watch, find an elusive platypus in the Bunyip waterhole at dusk and dawn or swim in the natural springs.

Accommodation: Bunyip Springs has three types of accommodation including the colonial Lodge (sleeps 8) and Cottage (sleeps 6) originally built in 1910 and 1926 respectively. There’s also a more recently built two-bedroom unit (sleeps 4).

Solothurn rural resort

It is just outside Maleny. Cottages and houses, heaps for the kids to do: cow milking, chicken feeding, tractor/hay rides. followed by Animal Feeding where they have Horses, Cows, Pigs, Goats, Chickens, Sheep, Ducks, Emus and more.  A range of accommodation options.

Cedar Glen

comes highly recommended. Milk cows, horse riding, boomerang throwing, pony rides, pig feeding, right next to picturesque surroundings and gorgeous creeks.

Hosanna farm

at stokers siding is great if you don’t feel like setting up a tent! Great swimming hole and facilities. Hosanna is a 100-acre family and dog-friendly farmstay just behind the busy coastal strip of Northern NSW, offering accommodation, activities and functions for individuals, families, groups, and schools.

Wattle Gully retreat

it was awesome! They have little cabins, and in the morning the owner picks you and the kids up in a ute to go feed the goats, ducks, chickens, alpacas, horses and ponies!

Clandulla Cottages

near Tamborine are awesome.I found the cottages quite small unless you got the family room, but the animals are fantastic, you can feed them twice a day, pet kangaroos, and the couple that run it are like your aunt and uncle – so friendly. Heaps of outdoor toys, sandpit, etc for kids and the whole homestead is fenced off so kids can’t get out!

Wittacork Dairy Cottages

it is a working dairy farm, overlooks Lake Baroon, next to a rainforest, you can collect eggs, bottle feed the baby animals etc. Stayed here a few years ago when my girls were younger.
